The Pureflow AirDog II-5G 165GPH A7SABF590 lift pump, or Fuel Preporator, is a must have upgrade for your 2017-2023 6.7L Powerstroke. The fuel system on your 6.7L diesel truck is the heart of the vehicle’s performance and reliability. This high pressure lift pump features a built in adjustable diaphragm pressure regulator. It comes preset at 50psi during idle to 70psi under load (9V – 13V). The II-5G was designed for seamless integration retaining the factory variable fuel pressure and factory wiring harness.
The II-5G kit for the 17-23 Powerstroke uses a bed bracket to be mounted inside the bed forward of the rear wheel. The fuel module is modified but does retain the factory venturi fill system. Part of the pressurized fuel is sent back to the modified fuel module allowing the venturi basket fill action to work as intended from the factory. This will ensure there will be no loss of fuel suction (1/4 tank issues) until the fuel tank is completely empty. The pump draws fuel from the modified fuel module and sends it to the factory frame rail feed line. The pressure line is tapped with a return “Y” to feed the venturi in the basket with pressurized fuel. The AirDog return is sent back through the modified fuel module. This kit is intended to replace the factory fuel pump.
The AirDog II-5G DF-165 for the 2017+ Powerstroke is engineered with the most proven, quiet and reliable motor technology on the market. It also retains the “demand flow” capabilties of the previous AirDog II systems. This means that is has a constant supply of clean, pure fuel available for your injector pump at all times. Any fuel not used by the engine is simply recycled back to the tank, so it will never “over-fuel” your system. The II-5G features larger 3/4-16 O-ring boss inlet and outlet ports. A 7/16-20 (-4) low-flow return is used to prevent aeration in the fuel returned to the tank. The II-5G A7SABF590 uses the same better-than-OEM fuel filter and water separator as the previous AirDog II systems. Pureflow AirDog products are manufactured in Shelbyville, Indiana by a team of skilled workers with unsurpassed attention to detail and using the most stringent quality assurance.
